You're the one who dug this rabbit hole. Colour depends on the nature of light and how light interacts with a sensor. Some sensors see different parts of light's spectrum. This is elementary science, and I don't think it supports the "consciousness is ontologically fundamental" worldview.
Anyway, the question was whether intelligent life is absurdly positioned in a mindless environment. Our desperate creations of meaning throughout history and prehistory indicate that we fear indeed that life's advent is more like a tragically comical accident than like the result of a perfectly wise choice.
