You're strawmanning atheism by equating it with nihilism. My atheism is humanistic and pantheistic, for example. Making sense of values and of morality specifically is hard for anyone, including atheists and theists.

And spirituality isn't the issue. I'm arguing against exoteric theism here. Moving the goalposts won't work.
