You're spot on there, I think. I go into Tyson's neoliberal, positivistic philosophy in my most recent article on his Starry Messenger, posted this morning.

And Will Durant had the same idea of how philosophy should be presented, as demonstrated by his The Story of Philosophy, which focusses on a philosophy's relation to the philosopher.

Do I have a high opinion of the intellectual counterculture? It's tragically heroic at best, as I've written elsewhere. And I prefer not to write much about myself.
