You're saying terrorists should be demonized since they have no legitimate grievance. That's what the label of "terrorist" does, and why the US uses it instead of "freedom fighter," to demonize the militants it doesn't like.

Islamist terrorism seems to me more complicated. Those that pull the trigger are sometimes drafted in against their will or they're tricked after their family members are taken hostage or threatened. Or the terrorists sacrifice themselves to get their families out of poverty. Or they're brainwashed by a fundamentalist religion. The American Christian terrorists are brainwashed by the Trumpian cult.
