Do you actually not understand that my article wasn't written solely or even mainly for Dan Foster? That it was implicitly addressed to Medium readers in general, which is why it wasn't written in the second person (like these comments are, which are addressed to you)?
So how could I have been trolling Foster if I wasn't talking directly to Foster, and I merely fulfilled my intellectual responsibilities by fairly setting up the problem at hand and summarizing Foster's article before I criticized it? That's what nonfiction writers do in the introductory section of their work.
Do you know what an introduction is or do I have to explain that as well? Someone should be paying me for tutoring this guy.
