You might be right, but I'm not a therapist. I don't write to change people's minds. I write to explore and to present what I think is true. Who knows who's reading what you write when you post it on the internet? You shouldn't restrain yourself as a writer for fear of how people with certain dispositions might take it.
If I were speaking directly to a Christian and I were trying to change that person's mind, I wouldn't start by insulting or condescending to that individual. I'm quite capable of having objective, philosophical dialogues. Indeed, that's my preference, and I've posted several that I've had with readers on Medium.
But mainly, I write in high dudgeon, using a mock prophet's voice to try to shake folks out of their slumber, and to awaken them to the existential stakes in life.
