You might be right. I wouldn't stay Stoicism is wholly evil or that it has no redeeming value. Stoics made a valiant effort in trying to naturalize morality by showing how virtues arise out of a deterministic world.

What I'm objecting to mainly is the fad of revering Stoicism in the self-help industry. I'm saying we shouldn't lose our perspective, and we should notice how Stoicism might be conducive to flattering those who benefit from an unjust status quo. This is Stoicism's politically centrist role.
