And what you say is plausible: tailoring synthetic, mind-altering drugs to avoid the spiritual, anti-capitalistic aspects of entheogens, and to nurture the egoism and amorality of the professional, urban populations. A diabolical scheme indeed! I may have to write a follow-up article on this.
