You can check whether a sector or industry is pernicious, as in harmful and self-destructive. Graeber's models of neofeudalism and capitalism's financialization are also independent of our feelings. Capitalism has either changed in those ways or it hasn't as a matter of fact. And we can check whether the new form of capitalism (others call it "technofeudalism") is harmful (self-destructive).
