Yes, you keep mentioning the African religions, and I still know little about them. I'll try to look into them further to add something about them to this series on the role of alienation in the world's religions. I'd expect that African religions would be neoshamanic and animistic, and thus comparable to the folk matrix of Chinese religions (something I talk about in an upcoming article).
