Yes, physics is physics, but I'm talking about the applications of physics to society and culture. You're using physical vocabulary and skipping over psychology and sociology. So I'm just wondering whether you think these physical terms apply literally and directly to society, or do you take them to be relevant as metaphors?

I mean, the so-called centrifugal force applies to things undergoing circular motion. Are people in society always walking in circles? This talk of physics (space, time, past, future, energy, and so on) seems to be a metaphor, at best, in which case it competes with a great many other metaphors in our interpretation of ourselves and our cultures.
