Yes, I was aware of that distinction. The question is whether the Buddha is a higher figure than the Bodhisattva in any form of Buddhism. But that's an interesting point, that in effect, at least, the Bodhisattva prefers a form of suffering. I'm certainly not an expert on Buddhism, and I wouldn't be surprised if some form of Buddhism overlaps with what I'm saying.
