Yeah, but beating up on the majority in that way is like taking candy from a baby. Most people are confused about their beliefs--not just their religious beliefs but all of them. We're confused about most of our opinions because we can't afford to be true experts on everything.

So the average theist will speak as though God were a concrete entity. But if you were to push that theist just a little with some Socratic questioning, don't you think you could help improve this person's understanding of religious matters? An expert can always help a layperson. It's just a matter of how much time the reckoning will take.

I'm aware that few minds are changed on social media, but that's not a true test because social media are designed for gladiatorial combat. Conflict keeps us glued to the platforms.
