Wolverine's superpower is similar to Deadpool's, in that both can heal themselves and are effectively immortal. And both are experts at fighting hand-to-hand.
But their characters are different. Wolverine is a tough guy with a Japanese, samurai sensibility. As I recall, Wolverine is overtly macho, he broods, and he cares about honour and vengeance. Deadpool is a pansexual and more of a clown. His emotions are chaotic, which reflects the perspectivalism of postmodernity.
Does Wolverine break the fourth wall? Does he know he's a comic book character? That would be the key to a symbol of enlightenment in the superhero universe, I think.
