Who says "a successful theory must have some challenging mathematics" to resolve inconsistencies, mathematicians or philosophers? Is that necessity mathematical or philosophical (i.e. handwaving)? You're showing how scientism/positivism undermines itself, by presupposing a "handwaving" declaration. But we've known about that self-refutation for around a century.
