Where do I say the US is a complete economic failure? I said that that country is incompletely modern.

Obviously, American capitalism has succeeded in lots of ways. Its progress might be illusory since that kind of capitalism looks self-destructive. But in the meantime, capitalism has obviously been innovative and it's created lots of (unfairly shared) wealth.
