We're certainly on the same page here. Considering the social importance of story-telling, as I point out in the articles below, aesthetics may turn out to be the primary philosophy.
One question I'd raise, however, is whether creativity is a natural gift. These traits derive from natural selection, but our creativity and ingenuity could just as easily be construed as curses rather than blessings.
Put more neutrally, intelligent design is an anomaly in the context of nature's mindless creativity. That seems to put the two kinds of creativity at odds, which accounts for the alienation of the intellectual elites even within society, let alone within the natural universe that had to be personified by theistic religions to minimize the anxiety.
