Well, we can define our philosophical terms as we like. But the more general or metaphysical we take a word's meaning to be, the more potentially vacuous or theological the conception. It's like saying we can see "God" in everything, in which case "God" becomes poetic and unfalsifiable. When Nietzsche said that everything can be explained by a "will to power," both "will" and "power" are potentially overused.

Money is certainly related to social power, but I generally think it's more useful to draw finer distinctions than to fit everything into the same box.
