Well, the epistemology I've worked out is pragmatic. I've written lots on truth, understanding, knowledge, the burden of proof, and so on.

I think it's a little odd that you're talking about the "sturdiness" of claims when you're positing that rocks are conscious. "Proof" would be irrelevant because the question wouldn't be mathematical (game-like).
