Well, I'm open to some such scientific breakthrough that connects science, religion, art, and the like. But on that sort of empirical question of how consciousness should be scientifically modeled, I'd go with the consensus of experts. I don't think Penrose's model is accepted by the majority of scientists, and that's likely because the model is flawed or outdated. But who knows? I'm not a neuroscientist.
