Well, I have other ways of distinguishing the elite from the mob (links below). That's an old, elitist distinction that goes back at least to Plato. I don't see why the rich minority would be more humble or negative in formulating their beliefs. On the contrary, they'd be corrupted by power and they'd lapse into narcisstic mania, as in the case of Trump, Musk, or various kings, plutocrats, and dictators.
Philosophical elites or enlightened individuals shouldn't be mixed up with political elites, celebrities, or the one percent.
I don't see why all knowledge would have to be negative. If we could know what reality isn't, we should be able to infer in part what reality is. Either way, the knowledge would have to be pragmatically tested.
I suspect positive knowledge of natural reality begins with an existential, emotional reaction, such as horror, dread, or awe. That enlightened attitude towards reality is a fine sign that you get it, that you're on the real world's page, as opposed to being preoccupied with delusions and fantasies. It's a question of breaking free of unearned anthropocentrism, to seeing how small and foolish we are in the universal scope.
