We should distinguish between the explicit, philosophical engagement with such a meta question, and the pursuit of activities that presuppose deeper meaning. Just because someone doesn't think philosophically about whether life is absurd, does mean that person doesn't presuppose an answer just by choosing to get out of bed in the morning.
