Those are some sensible remarks, although I think science, capitalism, and socialism do implicitly promote certain values. Science is secular humanistic, and capitalism was originally supposed to promote the interests of a middle class, as against those of aristocrats. In practice, capitalism promotes consumerism and plutocracy, which degrade everyone. Socialism, too, was supposed to apply the humanistic value of our equal dignity as persons.
