This reminds me a little of a Korean show I'm currently watching on Netflix, which I'll likely write about, called "Hellbound."

The question is whether any authentic religious narrative could be in a genre other than horror or black comedy. We certainly need to distinguish between the slick salesmanship and propaganda, on the one hand, and authentic messages that dives into the existential depths of human experience, on the other.
