This is our main disagreement. Traditional mystics equate Atman and Brahman, whereas I'd say modern mysticism entails cosmicism and the rejection of any trace of anthropocentrism.

Is consciousness an emergent byproduct or is it cosmically fundamental? Even when the mystic repudiates egoism, her metaphysical idealism seems too anthropocentric.
