There's a misunderstanding here. I don't say there's no honour in literary philosophy. I said it's easier to be honourable in the analytic school because those philosophers don't have to invent a new language to reveal fresh perspectives on life. It's easier to write straightforward logical articles than to produce great art. So we can expect more fakery in the art world than in disciplines that prize critical thinking. That doesn't mean great art is impossible.

I'd agree that philosophical attitudes are different from bodies of philosophical doctrine. What exactly a philosophical character comes to is an interesting question.
