There is indeed a question of how we should feel about nature once nature's been scientifically objectified. I argue that an aesthetic evaluation follows smoothly from that objective detachment since we can stand back and look at nature the way we observe an artwork. Nature is art that creates and evolves itself. It's up to us to decide what our attitude should be towards nature, but I don't think all aesthetic reactions are equally valid. Some are nobler and more comprehensive than others. There's good taste and there's bad taste, just as there are elite countercultures and low-brow, mass cultures.
