There is indeed a big difference between a dogmatic religion that commands us to take certain poetry literally, to confuse the issues and control the population, and a more open-ended, less politicized religion that understands the role of art and that recommends that we find meaning in life by creating and by enjoying creations, including nature's creation of itself.
