Theism is certainly intuitive, so it's natural for social mammals like us to project our personal qualities onto inanimate processes. But that doesn't mean it's "correct" to do so. We may be naturally inclined to commit certain gross errors. For instance, we're prone to various cognitive biases, as psychologists have demonstrated. An assumption can be natural (common and understandable) and balderdash at the same time.
