The situation isn't the same with Judaism since that religion is much more secularized. Most Jews are "Reformed," meaning not orthodox, meaning they don't take the religion so seriously. It's a social club and a cultural marker for them (and for me). Conservative and liberal Christians compete to maintain the pretense that Christianity has a worthy message that withstands modern skepticism.

This article just satirizes that dual absurdity. Sorry if it offends, but the negative aesthetic reaction to grotesqueries can be quite genuine.
