The religious relevance of the knowledge of nature would be more pantheistic than monotheistic. If God transcends nature, there's little we could learn of him from Creation. That's why the possibility of miraculous revelation (in scriptures, etc) has been important to monotheistic religions. But that kind of revelation doesn't really count as knowledge.
