The prisoner's dilemma, the tragedy of the commons, Arrow's impossibility theorem, and other pessimistic findings of neoliberalism, then, would be stumbling blocks for this natural emergence of cooperation. More precisely, the cooperation would be limited (as in not ideally moral) and possibly insufficient to preserve our species in the long run.
