The oversight wouldn't be an illusion, given the priestly intermediaries, but the divinity of that oversight would be so if there's no God.

Did I say in the article that God has to be omnipresent? I think "omniprescence" is a loose way of speaking of the other powers. The point would be that there's no escape from God. There's nowhere to hide, so it would be as though he were always in the room with you, watching and listening to what you're doing.
