The Ontarian snobbery might be objectionable, but as I explained in the article, it's not ad hominem because I'm not inferring there's anything wrong with what Peterson says on that basis. I'm using his biography to explain his behaviour, which isn't fallacious.

The question is whether the stereotype has a kernel of truth in it or is entirely misplaced. The prairies are conservative in the populist vein, in despising the coastal elites, no? It's significant, then, that Peterson was raised in Alberta rather than in BC or Ontario.

Even if I'm wrong on these facts, it's not the case that this attempt at an explanation is "unecessary," because there are strange patterns here that call for an explanation, namely Peterson's baffling rages and tears. Why is he so angry with his critics and why does he cry so much in public? That's the question I was addressing in this article.
