The danger here is that we demonize folks. My point in putting animalism vs humanism front and center in politics is that conservatism isn't conducive to fulfilling our potential as human persons, whereas humanistic policies (democratic socialism, anarchism, etc) respect everyone's equal potential to individuate themselves, to be rational, free, creative people.
So my point isn't so much that conservatives are just animals. It's that conservatives effectively want us all to live as though we were just animals, because their policies tend to enslave the majority in a dominance hierarchy, and to endow a minority of power elites with excessive power over others, which corrupts them and turns them into predators and parasites.
But I take your point about the irony of conservatives' racism.
