The analogy might seem forced because I've left out the legitimate, non-fraudulent aspects of big societies to highlight the established Ponzi schemes. I don't think it's just a matter of sustainability, though. It's a question of whether we're collectively doing what we think we're doing. It's a question of mass, conventional delusion, and thus fraud.
