The aesthetic conception of morality is indeed perilous especially given the state of late-modern art. If scribbles can count as art, which some viewers can dismiss as having no value, and people are supposed to be artworks, maybe we can dismiss each other's value too.

The difference, though, is that while some human art is indeed trivial, dashed off in a second or two, natural products are the results of eons of cosmic labour. The latter's not so trivial.
