That's right, my criticisms are directed mainly towards the exoteric forms of these religions. Each religion has its esoteric, more philosophical or mystical hangers-on, although the religious institutions may be just co-opting those challengers.
Still, these criticisms are meant to identify and to question some distinguishing features of each religion. It's ironic that monotheistic religions would have exoteric, literalistic sides to them. The problem is that the mystical interpretations which entail that the symbols, creeds, and theologies arise necessarily from idolatrous mental projections are consistent with atheism. So I find that there's a dilemma here for religious folks. The more mystical or intellectual you are about your religion, the less dogmatic you'll be in opposing atheism. Because God turns quickly into Nothing.
