That's like saying modern science has to do with Christianity since science came from Christian cultures. Christianity was universal in Europe at the time, so that derivation isn't surprising. Likewise, since we came from a planet, and all planets come from stars, of course we depend on stars. We're not absolutely independent from the universe. But that doesn't mean stars evolve for our sake. Life's emergence is largely accidental; otherwise, life would be as prevalent in the universe as stars and planets.
