That's an intriguing notion, of the universe being "micro-spiritualized without a final form being autocratic upon it." Honestly, I think it's close to what I say about the zombie aspect of the godless universe's evolution. It's animism 2.0, re-enchanted nature that's exquisitely ordered despite its being objectified by science. You have a lawful order without a lawgiver, so nothingness just picks itself up by its bootstraps and turns into the natural order, unfolding absurdly and monstrously and with no direction or purpose, like a shuffling zombie whose animation is ultimately inexplicable. The horror of nature in that respect motivates the humanist's withdrawal into civilized progress, into the world of genuine intelligent designs.
