That's an interesting poem, although I'm not entirely clear on its meaning or relevance. There are our concepts and models of time, and then there's the reality of deep time. Are you saying our models preoccupy us because the underlying reality is unsettling? I'd agree with that.
I think you mean to say that nature is in third person (objective) perspective, not first person (subjective). Nature has no subjective viewpoint, which is why it can't respond personally to our desire to show our gratitude or blame. There's no one to thank for our life or to blame for its travails.
