That's an interesting connection you're making, but I think I'd want to draw some more distinctions. Analytical thinking can be part of critical thinking. But I suspect you're talking about a technocratic kind of mentality, the kind fuelled by the memorization of data that enabled the technocrat to pass science or business administration exams. This is an instrumental, unquestioning kind of intellect that takes orders for granted. Even analytic philosophy, though, is tied to philosophy's more subversive, traditional orientation.

Analysis is just the breaking of wholes down into their parts, so that can lead us to miss the forest for the trees. We could analyze how consumerism works, without realizing that consumerism is overall bad (or good). But I'm not sure scientific analysis works the same as the philosophical kind. It's an interesting question, though.
