That's a thought-provoking personal presentation of the problem. I don't have the answers, of course, but I'm also pondering the upside and downside of what I recently called the cyber circus. As we become more dependent on high tech, there are, I suspect, dehumanizing network effects that exacerbate our tribal instincts.

Wildfire and Haque have certainly found their niches, which is likely why the algorithm likes them. It makes their writings repetitive, though. Meanwhile, I write on a variety of subjects because I don't want to get bored and I want to expand my thesis and track its rammifications. But the digital platform has its biases: it wants to pigeonhole us, which is antithetical to creativity.

Then again, what also dampens the creative spirit is being haunted by the success of so many hacks and lesser lights. I have some more articles on this that will be coming out soon. Producing art despite most people's lack of interest in it can be disheartening. But we have to reflect on why we're bothering to do what we do.

I appreciate your interest in my writings.
