That's a strawman zinger. I conclude not that we should return to the Stone Age, but that we should be worried we don't know what we're doing with civilization, given its apparent origin in a giant fraud that benefited mainly the upper classes.

I say, "This origin — the recklessness of civilization’s architects— doesn’t bode well for us; indeed, if civilization is based on an insidious fraud, its long-term survival would be a miracle.

"Ideally, then, with the benefit of all this hindsight, we should renew our trust in civilization for good reasons or we ought to have the strength of character and the creative vision to develop something better."

But yeah, this particular article puts forward a hypothesis that's supposed to shift our perspective since our pride in civilization is typically blind
