Thanks. Those are some interesting observations. I wonder whether identity politics is a degenerate form of humanism in a Spenglerian sense. True, the woke folks may have their heart in the humanist place, but they've lost the plot so their emphasis on micro identities ends up being tribal and antithetical to classically liberal humanism.

Oswald Spengler pointed out how a culture begins with a clear vision of certain ideals, but that vision ends up fading, and what survives is a dessicated form of the founding myths and values. That might be what we're seeing with woke "humanism," a late, ironic stage of those liberal ideals.
