Just from looking over his Wiki page, it strikes me that while there's some overlap with what I'm saying in some of my writings, he might be closer to the deep ecology movement. His nomadology seems similar to Morris Berman's Wandering God. I'm suspicious of the hope that we could or should return to a Paleolithic way of thinking and living, no matter how bad modernity is. We could learn from anything we like, but there has been some undeniable progress in history, I think, if only in appreciating the reasons for our alienation. The question is whether that progress is sustainable.
