I think Trudeau is too vapid to be any sort of cult leader, though. He's a face and a name, and he's in power in Canada because the alternatives are usually worse. It's strategic voting, nothing heartfelt. Trudeau has nothing like Trump's fervent support because Trudeau doesn't stand for any vision of reform of progress. Trump stands for evil, but at least it's apocalyptic in intensity, so it attracts a cultish following.

But certainly, Trudeau is woke in the pejorative sense.
