I think the pendulum is swinging the other way: the authoritarian and white nationalist movements in the US, UK, and elsewhere are reactions to neoliberalism but also to woke leftism and political correctness. Women and minorities played the identity politics card, so white men feel they can do the same. Unfortunately, the conservative, blue-collar white males in question (e.g. the Trump supporters) are anti-intellectual, so they won’t do art any favours either.
