Thanks. I think modern nature worshippers would be part of what Weber called the re-enchantment of nature. Reason undermines itself by missing the forest for the trees. The zombie physicality of objectified nature becomes sacred again, entailing pantheism. So as Vervaeke says, there's a crisis of meaningless in the modern context. The worship of nature is a return to animism, which is one side of this theological spectrum. I've called this animism 2.0 here:
