Thanks. I think it's short-sighted to associate violence with patriarchy, although certainly men are more violent than women. Violence is rather a hallmark, though, of nature. So the violence perpetrated by patriarchies is due to their naturalness. These kingdoms, dictatorships, and plutocracies have always been glorified dominance hierarchies.
Indeed, liberal cultures are supposed to promote equality, as in the equality of opportunity. But the equality I see coming is one in which men and women are both slaves to machines. That's the transhuman context. Rather than relying on violence, as in the Orwellian dystopia, the automated environment may be more like Huxley's sinister society in Brave New World, inviting us to be equal in our short-sighted consuming of images and resources.
